​Ignite Collaborative Initiative, Inc. 501(c)3 Organization

Ignite is looking to add 3-5 members to our board of directors for our 10th Anniversary Season!
No previous non-profit board member experience required.

If you love Ignite and are ready to commit to supporting us on a deeper level, we want you!

Our Mission:
Ignite Collaborative aims to build a more connected, compassionate, and creative community through participatory and immersive art experiences. We use the combination of music, movement, and words as a means for facilitating creative expression, spiritual connection, and personal growth. We provide live entertainment, public mindful movement workshops, artistic development and mentorship, and collaborative opportunities for ALL artists in the greater-Phoenix arts community.

What does the board of directors do for Ignite?
-Organize fundraising events throughout the season with the goal of collectively raising $30,000 annually
-Assist in locating sponsorships + grants for the company
-Assist in locating performance + teaching opportunities for the company
-Provide administrative assistance for Ignite
-Advocate for Ignite’s needs in the community + among your colleagues and peers


Who can serve on the board?
ANYONE! If any of the following sound like you, we want to talk to you...
-Energetic people who are not already overextended with other commitments, eager to put their enthusiasm for the arts and community-building to good use.
-Community leaders willing to represent and advocate for Ignite in the community.
-Leaders in schools and private programs who are passionate about helping us reach more students with our special education mindful movement program.
-Academics who want to put their expertise in child development, physical and mental health, mindfulness, fitness, and/or special education into work in the community.
-Creative and passionate individuals who have a talent, joy, and excitement in organizing successful fundraising events and promotions.
-Parents/grandparents/aunts/uncles/brothers/sisters/friends/dogs/frogs who support Ignite’s dancers and want to see the company continue to grow.


What’s required?
Attend at least 75% of Ignite Collaborative board meetings and events. (8 - 10 board meetings per year; 3 - 5 events per year)
Act as a representative of Ignite in the community to spread the word about events, sponsorship opportunities, and performances.
Assist in basic tasks to help Ignite’s behind-the-scenes administration run smoothly.
